Early Street Grow it Green Community Garden.
Located in the heart of the Speedwell Avenue neighborhood, adjacent to the senior housing complex, the Community Garden was opened in May of 2009 through the generous, temporary donation of site by landowner,
Last summer, over 50 families participated in the community garden. In addition to providing space for people to grow their own produce, we held a series of introduction to gardening classes, released over 40,000 ladybugs at our Lady Bug Party, hosted several pot-luck dinners with live music, as well as a
“Bike in Movie” Night, where over 50 cyclists shared an evening
in the garden watching movies on the big screen.
