Grow it Green Morristown hosts a number of events and classes throughout the growing season.  Additionally, we have been guest speakers at off-site events.

Clean up and Pot Luck Dinner at Early Street Community Garden

Grab a pair of gloves and come help us spruce the place up a bit.  Then, join friends and neighbors for a pot-luck dinner.  Bring your own plates, silverware, and a dish to share (and maybe a folding chair?).  We’ll provide drinks.

Yoga for Everyone

Join Jeannette Howard, RYT, owner of In Balance Yoga, at the Urban Farm at Lafayette for our free Thursday morning yoga classes.  Come an experience the joys of creating your own yoga practice in the peaceful surroundings of the Urban Farm.  Jeannette welcomes practitioners of all levels; people new to yoga are especially encouraged to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.  Please dress comfortably, bring water and your own yoga matt.

Join Farmer Tammy Toad Ryan for an introduction to the wonderful world of the honeybee.  Tammy will take us through the basics of honeybee culture and care - and then show us the inner workings of the hive at the Early Street Community Garden.  Both classes are the same.  Rain cancels.

1920s Country Fair & Harvest Festival

Fosterfields Living Historical Farm, Morris Township, NJ

If you’ve never been to Fosterfields, you really must go.  A beautiful farm, exquisitely restored manor house, and picturesque countryside make this the perfect place for a family outing.  go to the Fair and come visit our booth where we’ll have an exhibit and items from the Urban Farm at Lafayette for sale!

A Farm to Fork Event!

The Urban Farm at Lafayette

Join us for a one of a kind evening!  We’ll have music, croquet, an auction of fine produce and other treats, and of course - farm fresh food!  Centered around a vintage 1949 REO Speed-wagon truck, this wonderful “pizza-mobile” will be serving up scrumptious wood-fired, hand-tossed pizza topped with fresh produce picked right at the Urban Farm!  All proceeds from this event will help further the work of Grow it Green Morristown.  Please be sure to join us!

Join us at the Community Garden: see the site, learn how we organized ourselves and our community to create this wonderful resource.  Bring your questions.  This workshop is great for non-profits, local municipal leaders, and community organizers.  A small donation of $10 per person would be appreciated.
