OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE
Grow It Green Morristown is committed to sustaining operations that have the greatest impact for those who need local food the most. We are adapting our operations daily, given the incredible pace of change in all aspects of our lives. But what doesn’t change is our commitment to ACTIVELY HELP OUR COMMUNITY.
We ask ourselves everyday:
How do we keep people safe while inspiring healthy eating and wellness, and acting to improve nutritional equity for the most vulnerable in our community?
Grow It Green Morristown’s response is:
Donating our harvested fresh, healthy produce weekly to organizations who are suited to distribute the food with dignity and equality
Creating and sharing virtual and in person learning resources to inspire and educate our community (youth and beyond!)
Starting seeds in the Greenhouse to plant to insure four seasons of yields to help meet the challenge of food insecurity.
Planting the seedlings in our carefully cared for, low-till soil at the farm to grow fresh, healthy local food…because the need continues to grow due to the impact of the pandemic in our community!
