Each year Grow It Green Morristown, in partnership with the Foodshed Alliance, hosts a monthly series to inspire, connect, and challenge some of the greatest food issues of today. This year we have gathered local New Jersey experts to speak about the issues facing your family's access to healthy, local food.

Should We Worry About Water? Understanding Our Watershed.

During this session we'll learn about the current state of our local water supply and examine how we, as consumers, might improve or protect it. Where does our local water come from? What is the state of water quality? What can people do to conserve and protect the water we do have?

David Peifer is the Highlands Project Director for the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC). ANJEC provides training, education and assistance to over 300 local environmental commissions in New Jersey. Before coming to ANJEC, David served as the Executive Director of the Upper Raritan Watershed Association for 22 years. He is a resident of Washington Township in Morris County.

 

 

 

Osh Squash B' Gosh: A Childhood Nutrition Workshop

These days you have to take your children’s nutrition into your own hands! However kids can be picky, organic food can be expensive, and your level of control is limited. Join us this month for Osh Squash B'Gosh: A Childhood Nutrition Workshop. Come learn the answers to questions such as: What foods should children eat? What is the proper portion size? How do you get your children to eat healthy, real food? Receive a sample meal plan for your child.
