Shop Local, Eat Fresh!

Grow It Green Morristown is committed to providing access to fresh, local food and the knowledge needed to grow your own food to the greater Morristown community.

In addition to managing the Early Street Community Garden and operating the Greenhouse at the College of Saint Elizabeth, we have a number of programs and initiatives to connect people with local food and the essential farmers that grow it.

Grow It Green plans, plants and harvests to donate fresh food to local community partners for distribution and donates directly to local residents as part of the Atlantic Heath Care Family Care & Guidance program.

We have started a pilot farmer apprenticeship program utilizing funds from the Franklin Parker Grant to expand who has access to the resources at the farm to learn about sustainable agriculture and building more equitable food systems.

Grow It Green operates a Farm Stand at the Urban Farm (31 Hazel Street in Morristown) where the public is welcome to shop the produce that is grown on-site, using Johnny's Selected Seeds without the use of harmful chemicals and pesticides. The Urban Farm Stand is open Saturdays, starting June 20th through October. New procedures are implemented due to COVID-19.  CSA shares are sold out for the season. Limited quantity of fall CSA shares available.

We are proud to be approved as an official retailer for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps.

Through the Garden State Good Food Network we offer Double Buck benefits for SNAP participants. This means DOUBLE the value of what you can get for SNAP dollars at our farm stand. Pick out twenty dollars worth of produce and purchase it for only ten SNAP dollars! This program is supported by Garden State Good Food Network, and City Green.
