Shop Local, Eat Fresh!
Grow It Green Morristown is committed to creating more just, healthy and sustainable food systems. We are providing access to the freshest, local food grown using indigenous growing practices that protect our soil, air and water.
We manage the Early Street Community Garden and The Urban Farm and operate the Greenhouse at Saint Elizabeth University. We welcome you to experience a number of programs and initiatives to connect people with local food and the essential farmers that grow it. With 94 beds at the community garden, gardeners grow food, herbs and flowers. We also operate donation plots at the garden to put in the donation bin for the public.
Grow It Green plans, plants and harvests at The Urban Farm to donate fresh food to local community partners for distribution. Fresh produce from The Urban Farm is available at nourish.NJ, Interfaith Food Pantry Network, Table of Hope and at Newark Science & Sustainability. We provide vouchers for fresh produce to be chosen at farm stands without any fee directly to local residents as part of the Atlantic Heath Care Family Care & Guidance and Prenatal program.
We bring you the Morris Winter Farmers Market as well providing fresh food from a wide variety of local vendors. Farmers markets encourage spending your dollars locally in support of independent farmers, ranchers and makers. Get outside safely and shop this winter at Convent Train Station on Sundays starting Dec. 5th - Mar. 27th. Your food choices matter!
Foundation support funded a pilot farmer apprenticeship program utilizing funds from the Franklin Parker Grant to expand who has access to the resources at the farm, to learn about sustainable agriculture and to build more equitable food systems. Food access and nutritional equity are complicated issues that require local solutions. Donate now and strengthen our local system.

We are proud to be approved as an official retailer for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps.
