Shop Local, Eat Fresh!
Grow It Green Morristown is committed to providing access to fresh, local food to the greater Morristown community.
In addition to managing the Early Street Community Garden and operating the Greenhouse at the College of Saint Elizabeth, we have a number of programs and initiatives to connect people with local food and the farmers that grow it.
Read on to find out all the ways you can get
fresh, local food.
Grow It Green operates a Farm Stand at the Urban Farm (31 Hazel Street in Morristown) where the public is welcome to shop the produce that is grown on-site, without the use of harmful chemicals and pesticides. The Urban Farm Stand is open Thursday and Saturdays, June through October. Stop by to pick your own flowers, meet our chickens, and chat with our knowledgeable farm staff about their work feeding the community. Foodies are also welcome to join our Community Supported Agriculture program, a weekly veggie share during the growing season.
Beginning in 2018, we launched our Pop-up Farm Stand to meet people where they live and work -- instead of at the Urban Farm. From July-October, look for our roadside Farm Stand to get your farm-fresh veggies!
New in 2019/2020, we will be managing the Morris Winter Farmers Market, indoors at the Alexander Hamilton School. Join us Sundays, December through March for fresh and local food and wares.
We are proud to be approved as an official retailer for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps.
