Food Access

Every person should have secure access to fresh food. Food security exists when all people have physical, social and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.

There is no substitute for the policy and social changes that are necessary to ensure food security, but every meaningful change happens from the ground up and our efforts have made a difference for countless individuals by providing aid, education, and welcoming spaces to strengthen community ties.

Produce donations to local food banks

In 2025, we donated over 7,500 lbs of fresh produce to our community partners Interfaith Food Pantry, nourish.NJ, Table of Hope, and Newark Science and Sustainability for their Farm to Table program.

SNAP/EBT eligible produce and CSA shares

We accept SNAP/EBT at our Farm Stand, Winter Market, and for CSA Shares. SNAP/EBT recipients can double the spending power of their SNAP dollars thanks to the Good Food Bucks program run by City Green.

Free CSA shares for eligible families

We work with Atlantic Health Family Healthcare to offer free CSA shares for Morristown families.

Hyperlocal produce at our Farm Stand + Winter Market

Robust urban farms and gardens bolster local food systems and reduce dependence on long and occasionally unstable supply chains affected by disasters, recalls, and climate change. We aim to make high quality produce accessible and affordable for everyone.

Early Street Community Garden

Not only does our community garden make fresh food accessible to local individuals and families, it offers a space in the heart of town to experience the mental and physical benefits of growing your own food.

Education resource for students and local gardeners

Our organization kickstarts others' journeys into farming and gardening by educating children, acting as a valuable resource for local gardeners, and offering critical opportunities for youth leadership, intergenerational collaboration, and cross-cultural learning.
