The Urban Farm is a one-acre vegetable farm where we teach local students and community members about regenerative agriculture, food systems, and the joys of eating fresh food. Here, we run a summer farm stand and CSA program, and serve the community by providing food donations and a variety of programs and events. This is where our high school and college interns join us every summer to learn, grow, and build.

Early Street Community Garden

The original project that led to the formation of Grow It Green. The Early Street Community Garden embodies the ethos of our organization. Here, our three founders, along with friends and neighbors, worked together to build a garden in a vacant lot intended for development. Now the garden hosts individuals, families, organizations, and high school classes with over 75 beds, native pollinator and rain gardens, and an apiary.

Winter Farmers Market

Located at Convent Station, the Grow It Green Winter Market runs every Sunday from December through April. It provides Morris County with access to fresh food while supporting local farms and small businesses, and fosters a friendly and vibrant community focused on sustainability and local economic growth.

The
Greenhouse
Our greenhouse is located on the campus of Saint Elizabeth University. It was offered to us for use in 2015 and has been essential in our development. This is where we start all of our seeds for the farm and annual plant sale, a huge upgrade from the entryway to the back of Shaun's house! The greenhouse is an important workspace for projects and a great place to shelter from the cold on frigid winter days.
