An abandoned lot

gathers trash in the center of Morristown. Three local women believe it can become a community hub and local green space, so they get to work.

Summer of 2009

Early Street Community Garden

begins to flourish and Grow It Green officially becomes an organization.

Spring 2010

Grow It Green embarks on a new project

to build an educational farm on an unused playground behind Lafayette Learning Center.

2014

The Urban Farm expands

with generous support from individuals donors, Kings Supermarket, and Hampshire Real Estate Company, bolstering our education and food donation programs.

2015

Early St. Community Garden is preserved

as part of the Green Acres Program with the help of Trust for Public Land and the Town of Morristown.

2016

St. Elizabeth University

welcomes us into the unused greenhouse that was built on their campus in 1911. Now we have a place to grow all of our seedlings!
