Grow It Green internships, volunteering,
and classroom opportunities

High School Internship
High school students in and around Morristown are encouraged to join our paid summer internship program. Our interns work alongside Farmers Shaun and Marley, learning about food, the environment, and everything it takes to keep a farm running. They build leadership skills and close knit relationships, coming back year after year, for another summer of hot weather, hard work, and comradery.

Volunteering and STEM opportunities
Every year students flock to the farm to volunteer, whether to find a closer connection with the environment and community, satisfy credits for school, or complete independent social and community projects. They work with their peers in the internship program to complete projects around the farm and grow, harvest, and process produce.

MHS Environmental Science Class
Early Street Community Garden is just a minute's walk from Morristown High School, making it the perfect place for their Environmental Science class to grow their own food! Every year, this class uses the garden as a "lab" to connect their theoretical knowledge from in-class plant anatomy lessons with the practical understanding of how plants grow. This culminates in a Harvest Party and the kids get to take their vegetables home to enjoy!
