Backyard Gardening 101 Series- 2 classes

Join Farmers Shaun and Marley in person as they teach you tips about growing fresh, healthy food at home!

Class 1) Tips and Tricks to keep Your Garden Healthy Tuesday, June 2nd 6pm - 7:00pm $30- IN PERSON at The Urban Farm

Our second class will cover tips and tricks to get the most out of your garden. We will cover topics of pest management, crop supports, succession planting and tomato care.

Class 2) Plant Now for Fall Harvests, Tuesday, August 17th,  6pm - 7:00pm $30 IN PERSON at The Urban Farm-

In this class we will cover how to plant in the fall for a bountiful garden harvest, what to do with the garden as it gets cold, and my favorite topic- garlic planting. 

Some of your key takeaways will be:

  • You can really grow a lot of produce in our zone

  • Fall gardening is the best time of year

  • Growing produce in the winter is easier than I thought

Farmer Shaun is the Director of Agriculture and Education for Grow It Green Morristown for over 10 years. He has educational and hands-on experience leading The Urban Farm in 2021 to its most productive year using sustainable growing techniques.

Farmer Marley is the Assistant Farmer at The Urban Farm. Her growing knowledge and boundless energy are highly valued for her role in our agriculture, education and marketing roles.
