The more we tango, the more tomatoes Farmer Shaun can plant! We are fundraising for more tomato wickets this year which aid in the production of tomato growing, making it easier to grow and tend to our many varieties of tomatoes! Plus, we are fundraising for our High School Intern Program. High Schoolers learn so much from working at The Urban Farm. Our High School interns learn about sustainability, learn how to work independently, learn how to lead on different farm projects. Funding our High School intern program helps give teenagers a different kind of summer experience and many go on to study biology, ecology, agriculture and environmental studies in college.

Tango for Tomatoes is a fun, community event where we will tango, enjoy refreshments from our Winter Market vendors, and bid on some fan favorite silent auction items. To celebrate 15 Years of Grow It Green, we are ditching our work boots for some dancing shoes and we will dance the night away in a 30 minute class led by Tango teacher extraordinaire, Juan Alessandrini. Juan leads a weekly tango class at St. Peter’s and he is thrilled to partner with us for this exciting event. No experience is necessary and you come with or without a partner.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME, GAVE & BID- so much fun!
